How do I know what Access Control Equipment I need?

When do I need to use a heater and blower for my outdoor housings?
You need to use heaters and blowers when your outside temperature either drops below 14° F or rises above 120° F. This is more for the lens than the camera.
How far can my video cable go?
Video cable comes in different grades. The most common is RG-59/U which can go up to 750 ft. Then there are the following:
- RG-6/U goes to 875 ft.
- RG-11/U goes to 1250 ft.
- RG-15/U goes to 2000 ft.
When do I need to use back light compensation?
You should use back light compensation when your camera is facing a door or window and your object is in front and the light is coming from behind. Back light compensation then adjusts the image so the object you are focusing on will have enough light to see all the details and the background gets over exposed. (The important item is the object you are trying to see not the background.)
How do I wire the EverFocus EHD350?
One end of the cable has a BNC connector and a power plug. The other end has four wires. The colors are red, white, yellow, and black. The wiring is as follows per EverFocus:
- Red - positive
- White - negative
- Yellow - ground
- Black - video
How do I set up port forwarding on my router to view my cameras remotely?

My Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides me with a dynamic IP address. Is there a way to configure my system so I can always log into my DVR system remotely, even though my IP address is always changing?

Is there an outdoor housing for any of the Panasonic Consumer line cameras?
Yes, the KX-HCM280A, BB-HCM381A and BB-HCE481A cameras will all work in the BB-HCH280 housing. This housing comes with several different options listed below.
- BB-HCH280P -P at the end means powered (heater, blower and camera power supply included, which runs off an included 24V AC transformer)
- BB-HCH280R -R at the end means Ruggedized (metal enclosure and stronger dome)
- BB-HCH280PR -PR means both powered and ruggedized
- BB-HCH280W -W means neither powered nor ruggedized
- BB-HCH280CT -C means Ceiling (pendulum type mount) & T means Tinted
Power supply for the Tropos 3210?
12 volt dc, 800ma, tip is positive, sleeve is negative.
What cameras can the Panasonic Matrix Switcher work with (part # WJ-SX150A)?
The WJ-SX150A will work with most any commercial security ?fixed? camera. The only concern is P/T/Z camera control. The WJ-SX150A only controls Panasonic P/T/Z cameras.
